Red Cross Stay Safe Course

Real-world scenarios often call on children to respond to challenges. The Stay Safe! program teaches applicable and age-appropriate skills, while increasing and reinforcing a youth’s capacity to improve his or her own safety. Whether in their community or on their own, this group will be given better tools to Stay Safe! in a variety of different situations.

Red Cross Babysitting Course

Adolescents 11 years or older learn about the responsibilities of caring for a child including how to change a diaper, prepare a simple meal, and age appropriate games. They will also learn basic first aid and how to manage an emergency situation.

Safeguard Course (New!)

Safeguard focuses on water safety awareness, accident prevention and the principles of aquatic safety supervision. Safeguard teaches participants how to identify hazards and at-risk behavior’s, how to recognize potential victims, and how to respond safely in an aquatic emergency. Safeguard training is designed for swimmers and non-swimmers alike, ideal for babysitters, caregivers, and anyone supervising around water (at home pools, cottages, etc.)
